Chris Martin and his band Coldplay had no idea that they would make Andy Byron a household name. The band was performing in Boston last week when they sang and chatted with audience members with a camera. The camera then focused on a man standing with his arms wrapped around a woman, swaying along as they were beamed onto the big screen.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin can be heard saying, “Oh, look at these two,” as they appear on the jumbotron.

The video appears to show Astronomer CEO Andy Byron holding his company’s chief people officer, Kristin Cabot, in a way that he should’ve been holding his actual wife.

The pair would quickly separate, hiding from the camera as those around them laughed and looked pretty mortified.

In the aftermath, Byron made the decision to part ways with his company.

Data tech company Astronomer released a statement on Saturday, July 19, on social media platform X and on job networking site LinkedIn, saying, “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.”

Now, speculation has come up on whether Byron may look into suing Coldplay.
